FloES floating solar energy generator to power rescue operations during floods

The FloES, short for Floating Energy Station is a shareware project developed to provide much needed energy to the rescue team during floods. The floating power station carries four large solar panels that can supply up to 2450wH of electricity each day, which is enough to power LED lights and charge cell phones and laptop computers of the victims.

The entire system is designed in a way so that it weighs less than 200kg to allow it to remain afloat on just eight tires. The system is also robust enough to stay afloat even during harsh weather conditions. The FloES can also be installed in a permanent location on an island to provide power to a small community.
