Apple 1, the first computer built by the company which has transformed computing with products such as the iPad, was merely a wooden box with a keyboard built into the top. While there are still around six units of this historic product of Apple still believed to exist in working order, designers at Hekseskudd have come up with a unique iPad station that can give you a taste of the original product.
Dubbed the Wooden iPad Station, the station is carved from black walnut wood and holds the iPad in either landscape or portrait mode. The wooden frame has a cutout on top where the Apple Bluetooth keyboard fits in neatly with still some room under the keyboard. The end result is a system that’s a million times faster than the original Apple 1 and a whole lot nicer.
