American design firm Mercier-Jones has developed a stunning new hovercraft that the design firm says could be the world’s most advanced recreational vehicle. Inspired by the likes of Bugatti Veyron, Maserati Gran Turismo and Audi R8, the eco friendly hovercraft features an open-air, speedboat-like features with enough space for the driver and other passengers.
Powered by a hybrid electric drivetrain, the hovercraft is made using carbon fiber and metal alloys. Featuring an aggressive front end and a low profile hull and side thrust ports, the hovercraft makes use of an air cushion technology and a patent-pending directional control system for easy maneuverability that allows the craft to travel forward, reverse and laterally. Hype Beast writes that while the design firm hasn’t announced the pricing details, interested parties can contact Mercier-Jones and pre-order the hovercraft while manufacturing gets underway.
