Colorado-based Ascent Solar Technologies has entered the CES 2013 with a new range of portable solar battery chargers, including a couple of solar charging cases for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S and more notably the EnerPlex Kickr IV portable charger that can folded and stored in a backpack or a purse.
Showcasing the company’s ability to make high-end solar chargers in an easy-to-carry form, the EnerPlex Kickr IV could theoretically help you charge all your portable electronic stuff without a connection to the wall socket. The lightweight charger features a durable design and the panels can be unfurled and placed on your car’s dash or any other open space with plenty of sunshine.
The company states that the EnerPlex Kickr IV has been designed to be shock-proof and come with the ability to withstand rain too. The device relays power through a USB port that allows you to charge a multitude to USB charging compatible devices such as Smartphones and tablet computers. The Inquisitr states that the best part is that the panels have the ability to charge a device at the same speed as a wall outlet, which means you don’t have to wait for hours for a fully charged smartphone. The EnerPlex Kickr IV is available for purchase at $129.99.
