The driving conditions in metropolitan cities around the world are a lot different than what they used to be a couple of decades ago. Apart from traffic that congests miles of the highway and let travelers wait for hours to get through it, the high price of fossil fuels and the concerns about air pollution resulting in global warming and climate change are making designers think of revolutionary ways to travel. No, we’re not talking about flying cars here, but are more interested in practical concepts such as the ZEIT (Zero Emission Individual Transport) Eco electric scooter.
Apart from the one-of-its-kind looks, the zero emission electric scooter comes with a lot of unique features as well. The plastic body of the scooter is wrapped around an aluminum frame, giving you all the durability you need. The e-scooter also features bright LED front and rear lights to provide safety during your late night commutes.
One of the most interesting aspects is the inclusion of a built-in audio system that is compatible with a wide range of portable music playing devices. Moreover, there is also a glove compartment that can hold a tablet, your lunch or maybe some important office files. On the technical specifications list, the ZEIT Eco E-Scooter claims to deliver a range of 20 miles on a full charge and its top speed is electronically limited to 15mph. The onboard batteries can be easily recharged using a conventional wall socket, though we’re not being told the amount of time it will actually take. ZEIT Eco has just launched a KickStarter campaign and early birds can get one for $1700.
